The Battle of Wills!

Q: Who is more stubborn, the cat or her owner?

A: *sigh* The cat...

Algebra the Stubborn!

I have a cat. Her name is Algebra. We call her Ally for short. She refuses to let me trim her nails. I just gave up on doing it myself. So every month I take her to the vet for a quick nail trim. She is actually well behaved at the vet and they only charge me $14 so it saves me the aggrevation. However, getting her to the vet can still be a bit of a fight. Yesterday I call the vet at 9am and made a 10:30am appointment. Then I go out the the shed to get her pet carrier. I bring the pet carrier inside the house and just set it on the floor. I hadn't even done anything yet! And my cat darts under the couch the instant she sees the carrier. I leave the room for a bit hoping she would come out. That didn't work. I got her favorite treats to lure her out. That didn't work. I even got her, her own can of tuna. She just would not budge. I called the vet and told them we would have to reschedule. Ally did not come out from under the couch for 3 hrs!!!

Today I finally managed to get her in to the vet... But yesterday, the cat won that battle...

In other news, I am still working on getting more items into my Etsy shop. It is really hard to find the time to get all the crafting done that I want to do. And I have so many ideas about what I want to do I have trouble knowing where to start... I guess I just need to pick something and go with it! I got some pretty green beads in the mail today that I ordered from http://www.designsbymisschris.etsy.com/ . Maybe I will be inspired by those!

  1. I used to have 2 cats (until we had to move and couldn't find a place we could bring them). It took me & the hubs to get them in their carriers...and lots of time!

I love the green beads...they are beautiful! I can't wait to see what you make!

  2. Oh I feel your pain! I have three cats...I have given up trying to get one to the vet because it's safer for myself and the vet staff. Tricky little buggers aren't they? But one of my cats loves the Nip and Kick Sticks I make and for some reason if I toss it in the carrier she jumps in there to fetch it but she isn't the brightest crayon in the box either!

I am loving the leaf shaped bead!
